Comedians with Disabilities Act: Going Beyond The Punchlines is about the power of human connection and humor. The part traditional comedy special and part documentary commences in January with two shows in California and two in Montana in March. The CWDA special has received a grant but more money is needed to make it happen! Donations are appreciated and welcomed!


Gina Chin-Davis is an award-winning filmmaker and writer based in California. She attended Barnard College in New York City where she received the Howard M. Teichmann Writing Prize for work distinguished in originality of concept and excellence of execution. Chin-Davis' writings have been featured in Rigorous, Penultimate Peanut, and The
Gina Chin-Davis is an award-winning filmmaker and writer based in California. She attended Barnard College in New York City where she received the Howard M. Teichmann Writing Prize for work distinguished in originality of concept and excellence of execution. Chin-Davis' writings have been featured in Rigorous, Penultimate Peanut, and The Conium Review, and her plays have been produced by The Aluminous Collective and The Piedmont Center for the Arts. Chin-Davis' first feature film, I Can't Sleep (2020), was produced on a self-raised budget of $10K and went on to win Best Script at the Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival and Best Sci-Fi Film at the MidWest WeirdFest. Outside of her creative endeavors, Chin-Davis is a clinical psychologist who grew up in Richmond, California. Her greatest honor has been to return to her hometown to provide trauma-informed mental health care to young adults in the public health sector.

It is a safe place to explore and display the arts as well as learn self-advocacy and other skills needed for navigating the world around us. The crew are from the BASE Film Extravaganza. BASE is an all-ages, all-abilities social engagement and activity center. It is a safe place to explore and display the arts as well as learn self-advocacy and other skills needed for navigating the world around us. BASE offers a variety of programs aimed at enriching life through the arts as well as assisting individuals in the pursuit of education, employment, and interdependence. Since the Spring 2022, BASE has maintained the Film Extravaganza aimed at generating short films produced from script-to-screen by people with and without disabilities. The BASE Film Extravaganza produced 28 short films in collaboration with local professional film studios, local actors, and local musicians. This will be BASE’s first full length feature.

In additions to being a stand up comedian and part of the cast, Nina G is also the lead producer and writer. This is the second full length feature film she has produced. The first was her own comedy special Nina G: Stutterer Interrupted.
